A trip to Barrachini's Bakery

This weekend Fyn turns three years old. So, last Friday we made the trip to Borracchini's Bakery on Rainier Avenue in Seattle. Borracchini's has been in business since 1923. It has turned into a tradition in our family. My parents go their wedding cake there 44 years ago, their 25th anniversary cake, and Debbie and I got our wedding cake there.

Keeping the tradition alive, Debbie, Jax, Fyn & I drive down a few days before their birthday. They get to flip through the 3" three ring binder and look at all the different themed cakes. Fyn went with a Lightning McQueen cake. It was a tough decision between Lightning and Spiderman, but McQueen won out.

Tomorrow we are taking the boys to lunch at the CTC then pick up the cake. We will probably buy whatever sweet in on sale to eat in the car ride home.
